Colwyn Bay Heritage Group’s website is set for a digital makeover.

Colwyn Bay Heritage Group, set up as an active voice championing and promoting local heritage, has received a grant from Colwyn Bay THI towards promotional materials and the development of their existing website.

Colwyn Bay Heritage Group was founded in 2009, with the goal of working towards local heritage and history being made accessible to all and more widely known. The group has taken part in advocate work for local monuments and buildings, worked with partners on a QR code trail at Eirias Park and produced Heritage Walk booklets for both Colwyn Bay and Old Colwyn.

The website was created in 2012 and a wealth of local information and signposts to where to find more information has been built up on the site.
The grant will go towards making the site more user-friendly, adapting the website so that it can be easily viewed on any type of digital device, updating the look of the website and developing a timeline to showcase the area’s history in an interactive and interesting way.
