Buskival held in Colwyn Bay

Buskival was held for the first time in September 2014 which brought a variety of street performances to Colwyn Bay. Locals and visitors were able to listen to new acts perform music, and even watch an escape artist at work.

Colwyn Bay Townscape Heritage Initiative partnered with TAPE Community Music & Film and the Bay of Colwyn Town Council to offer a unique opportunity to street performers, allowing them to showcase their work to new audiences and record a song using TAPE’s professional recording equipment.

The workshop space at Colwyn Bay THI’s Pop Up Shop, 24 Station Road, became a Pop Up recording venue for the day. TAPE were able to set up, film and record acts throughout the weekend and a CD of the weekend was even made from these recordings.
