January: The history of 7 Abergele Road

For the first session of 2017, Katherine Dutta, THI Project Assistant, gave a talk on the history of 7 Abergele Road, known previously as the A&A Cash and Carry, and before that Dando’s.

This Grade II listed building is classed as a critical property within the THI area; work is currently being done to put together a regeneration programme for the building, and to create a development trust which will see the project through and safeguard the building’s future.

As part of this work towards the project, research was undertaken into the building’s past, and the talk given was an overview of the history which was uncovered.
