The Ship That Ran Aground In 1991

A violent storm hit the Bay of Colwyn in September 1991, and the Marga Cortes, a cargo ship, ran aground on the rocks at Rhos point.

The ship was repaired over the following weeks, and was able to continue her journey once fully repaired.
